Most Nepali banks keep total loan EMIs under ~40% of monthly income. Staying below that leaves room for fuel, insurance, and servicing.

Tip
A higher down payment reduces both your EMI and the total interest you pay over the loan period.
How this is calculated
EMI uses the standard reducing-balance formula banks in Nepal use: EMI = P × r × (1+r)^n / ((1+r)^n − 1), where P is the loan amount, r is the monthly interest rate, and n is the number of months. Enter the car's full on-road price — Nepal listings already include customs duty, excise, and VAT, so there's nothing extra to add on top.
